2022 Is Here

2021 was a real mixed bag. The highs were high (booking THE FIRST LADY), but the lows were low.

On the positive side, I was fortunate to audition A LOT (Self-Tapes), and came very close to booking several times. In the old days, I would have felt a bit discouraged, but I came up with a new way of thinking, inspired by baseball. I decided to view auditioning as times at bat.

I have hit a…

• SINGLE: When I beat out hundreds (or more!) actors and book an AUDITION

• DOUBLE: When I get a CALLBACK

• TRIPLE: When I am put “ON AVAIL,” or even better, “FIRST REFUSAL”

• HOME RUN: When I BOOK.

Seeing it this way allows me to appreciate my progress and successes, whether I book or not.

In other news, I had new headshots taken by JASON VAIL, a wonderful actor/photographer my agent recommended. You can view the new shots in my Photo Gallery. I’m happy with the pictures and fingers crossed for more auditions in 2022.

On a more serious note, so many wonderful people were lost in 2021 - to covid and other illnesses. Dear friends lost loved ones, and after two years, life is still not back to normal. We carry on, do our best, and hold onto the hope that 2022 will be the year that ends the pandemic and restores sanity and civility to our wounded nation.
